Our adapters are installed simply by removing the dashpot, piston and needle from the carburettor body, while still installed on the engine, and replacing with our adapter.
The fuel injector (1 per adapter) is installed using a retaining bracket on the underside of the adapter.
We believe that our classic vehicle should be used and enjoyed. Unfortunately, carburettors can become out of tune, and can never give optimal performance in all conditions. Converting to electronic fuel injection improves the reliability of the vehicle, and ensures that the fuelling of the vehicle is as close to optimal as is possible, all the time.
We use brand new, motorsport quality fuel injectors from Magnetti Marelli. These injectors have a fine, wide spray of injected fuel, which atomises much better than alternative, outdated fuel injectors often used in other conversions.
In order to convert fully to electronic fuel injection, a high pressure (3-4bar/43.5psi) pump and filter/regulator are required, as well (at a minimum) coolant temperature and air temperature sensors, a vacuum line connected to the inlet manifold/balance pipe of the engine, and a connection to the coil negative post.
