We love Triumphs. We love Stags. We especially love being able to turn the key and go. So we've developed a full electronic fuel injection conversion for the Triumph Stag, which fully retains the original look of the engine bay, whilst giving you the reliability, efficiency and flexibility of electronic fuel injection.
Our carburettor adapters are specifically designed to retain the original look of your Triumph's engine bay. Only a seasoned Stag veteran will be able to tell that there's anything un-original lurking beneath!
Fitted without even removing the air filter housing, our adapters take minutes to fit, and get you well on the way to a full fuel injection conversion.
Our adapters come complete with replica dashpot caps in keeping with the original setup.
Required for each carburettor adapter is a single, modern, brand new motorsport fuel injector. We only use injectors from Magnetti Marelli in our carburettor conversion kits, with a specialised 'high atomisation' nozzle for the highest level of fuel vapour atomisation possible.
The injectors are retained underneath the adapter using aluminium brackets machined from billet material.
The ECU supplied with our fuel injection conversion is made specifically for us, and uses custom software and calibration just for the Triumph Stag. This has been extensively tested for thousands of miles in our development vehicle, and remains trouble free to date. We suggest it is installed underneath the parcel tray, as it has a small form factor of just 150mm x 150mm x 40mm.
A full wiring loom is supplied, with all connectors pre-terminated and ready to go. Each harness is tested fully before despatch, and is labelled for each connector for ease of installation.
For fitting in the boot of your Stag, a high pressure fuel pump and pressure regulator unit are provided. These are fitted underneath the boot board, and so doesn't lose you any space in the boot, and nor are they on show or able to be knocked about. The spare wheel is still able to be removed/replaced from the well also.
We suggest you utilise the existing hard line fuel pipe already in place running under the floor of your Stag. We supply barbed adapters for each end of this pipe to give a tight seal to prevent fuel leakage. A replacement filter is also provided for the engine bay to prevent any foreign contaminants reaching your fuel injectors.
Coolant Temperature Sensor (CLT)
The coolant temperature sensor is installed in place of the existing sensor in the rear of the LH cylinder head. We then provide an output from the ECU for controlling the dashboard temperature gauge using the existing vehicle wiring harness connector, so original functionality is retained. The ECU reads the coolant temperature sensor to compensate for the increased engine friction and wall wetting found in a cold engine. Enrichment is automatically and gradually reduced as the engine warms up to operating temperature.
Inlet Air Temperature Sensor (IAT)
The air temperature sensor is fitted at the front of the vehicle to allow the ECU to compensate for the density of the air being drawn into the engine. This allows correct fuel/air mixture to be attained at all ambient temperature conditions.
Our full fuel injection conversion for the Triumph Stag is available from £1,600 ex VAT.
Fitting is DIY, full instructions supplied. Alternatively, fitting is available at any of our approved installers.
